A three night extension in Istanbul will be a whirlwind of sights and sounds. It will give you just enough time to visit the historic sights, taste their delightful cuisine, and do a little shopping in the covered Grand Bazaar.

Like Uzbekistan, Istanbul was central to the Silk Road. The city’s historic center is itself partially listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Formerly known as Constantinople, Istanbul is the historic center of Turkey. It straddles the Bosporus strait, separating Europe and Asia.
